Heads on Paper
Heads on Paper is a series of twenty paintings on paper arranged as a single wall-based work. Each sheet begins as a compact image: a head, a mask, a sign, a pressure mark.
The grid gives the series a second scale. Up close, the works hold the speed and directness of the hand. From a distance, the separate sheets start to behave as one larger image: a wall of repeated heads, broken symbols, black lines and unstable characters.
Each work is made in A4 format, 21 × 29.7 cm. Installed as a 5 × 4 grid, the paper surface alone measures 105 × 118.8 cm. With 6 cm gaps between the works, the full installed raster measures approximately 129 × 136.8 cm, excluding frames.
The series connects drawing, painting and installation. The works keep their individual force, while the wall turns them into a rhythm of faces and graphic interruptions.
method
Twenty works are produced as individual paintings on paper and installed in a strict grid. The repeated format gives the series a shared structure while preserving the directness of each sheet.
